'A Soldier’s Memoir': A moving music video calling attention to troops struggling PTSD (VIDEO)

The moving song “A Soldier’s Memoir” by emerging country music singer Mitch Rossell is a about a warrior who struggles with PTSD after he returns home from an overseas deployment. The military taught him how to put his uniform on, but not how to take it off.

The song goes on to say his mother thinks he looks just the same as when he left, but if she could see inside of him, she’d be truly terrified.

It’s refreshing to see a music artist tackle the difficult angle of showing the world just some of the great challenges warriors from every branch face after returning home from combat.

It launched on YouTube on Nov. 7, just in time for Veterans Day. For more information on Mitch Rossell, check out his website.
