A gunman used a “squash suppressor” in the commission of a crime. So, it appears, he lost his gourd.

A South Carolina man used a “squash suppressor” while robbing a gas station, the Associated Press reports.

At approximately 2 a.m. an unidentified man approached a James Island gas station. He fired two rounds from a gun that had a squash attached to the end of it before hurling a cinder block through a window, Everyday No Days Off reports.

With the alarm blaring, the resourceful crook nabbed an entire lottery ticket case. According to the store manager, 24 booklets worth a total of $6,000 were taken.

Deputies responded to the scene but the suspect had already fled.
