This is a super-cool project by /u/SirKeyboardCommando on Reddit. It’s a 45-percent scale model of a Civil War-era Coehorn mortar that fires cans filled with concrete.

“Took her down to the gun range to send some concrete filled cans skyward! That’s 250 grains Fg Goex and a Coke can full of concrete. They weigh somewhere around 1.75 pounds.”
Wouldn’t want to be downrange of Sir Keyboard Commando, that’s for sure.
