Hunter shoots deer, rides the wounded animal down a snow bank like a sled (VIDEO)

Saskatchewan wildlife officials are investigating a video posted on Facebook of a hunter riding a wounded deer down a snow bank like a sled.

Officials are trying to determine who was involved and if animal cruelty charges are merited. If convicted, the hunters could be sentenced to up to five years in prison, Global News reports.

Right now, not much is known about the video, but officials are trying to change that.

“Try to determine who is involved, trying to determine a location and possibly do some interviews if they can determine who it is,” said Richard Hilderbrand, a conservation officer with the ministries.
