'Assaulted: Civil Rights Under Fire' broadcast premiere on Memorial Day (VIDEO)

This Memorial Day weekend, the Sportsman Channel is highlighting “Assaulted: Civil Rights Under Fire” as part of a special “Salute to Service” line-up hosted by Gary Sinise.

The documentary, directed by Kris Koenig and narrated by Ice-T, aims to show the heart of the fight for Second Amendment rights in the United States, and the significance it has in American society.

“The film speaks very little on the subject of war”, said Koenig, “but as a third generation vet and a father of a son about to deploy to Afghanistan, it’s a great reminder of the freedom our veterans have fought and died for. The documentary also reinforces that we can’t let our rights be eroded by foreign powers or through politics within the borders of our country.”

The special programming starts at 12-noon and ends at 7 p.m. eastern on May 26.
