A gun malfunction foiled an assassination attempt in a coffee shop in Tel Aviv on Monday. CCTV captured the would-be assassin, Zrog Vaknin, roaming through the Coffee Joe. Several moments later he pulled a handgun from his bag, aimed it at his mark, and pulled the trigger, YNET reports.
An unspecified malfunction kept the gun from firing and Vaknin quickly backpedaled and fled the coffee shop. He was later arrested and is being detained by the Magistrates Court in Tel Aviv.
He was hired by Moshe Vaknin, but the incident is believed to be a case of mistaken identity as the intended victim had no criminal background.
