DARPA's Big Dog robot gets first taste of real-world action with U.S. Marines (VIDEO)

DARPA’s Big Dog saw its first real-world action in Hawaii during the RIMPAC 2014, a multinational maritime war games.

The robotic monstrosity known as the LS3 performed well across various types of terrain and was able to keep up with the bipedal Marines with ease.

While Big Dog has been in development for years, this marks the first time it has been deployed.
