FN Manufacturing announced Monday that it has been certified under the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program for chemical processing, which allows it to remain on the Defense Logistics Agency’s Qualified Supplier List of Manufacturers and continue to make weapons for military, law enforcement and commercial customers.

“Achieving Nadcap accreditation is not easy; it is one of the ways in which the aerospace industry identifies those who excel at manufacturing quality product through superior special processes,” said Joe Pinto, executive vice president and chief operating officer at the Performance Review Institute, the agency that provided the certification.  “Companies such as FN America work hard to obtain this status and they should be justifiably proud of it.”

The accreditation program, among other things, allows arms manufacturers to handle chemicals during the process necessary for phosphate coating on military-style weapons.
