Officers suspended after tipping toilet over with suspect inside (VIDEO)

Four Memphis police officers have been suspended after tipping over a portable toilet at a construction site after cornering a suspect inside of it.

After two of the officers tipped over the toilet, they lifted it back into position and opened the door. As the dazed suspect lowered himself to the ground for arrest, one of the officers kicked him in the side.

The scene was captured on video by construction workers who shared it through social media networks. The story went viral with some accusing the police of acting out of line and others defending them for doing their job.

The suspect, Joseph Hampton, 31, was arrested for trespassing and evading the police and was released on a $250 bond.

The Memphis police department has identified the officers as Taylor Ackerman, Roosevelt Shaw Jr., Timothy Taylor and Manuel Saldana. They have been relieved of duty with pay until the department concludes their investigation of the arrest.

Raw footage of the incident has been posted on Live Leak.
