Robber changes mind, gives would-be victim thumbs-up on his way out (VIDEO)

A robbery planned at a Wheat Ridge, Colorado, convenience store Tuesday was apparently cut short when the suspect realized that he recognized the person behind the counter.

According to the clerk, the suspect, who was wearing a mask and hoodie, walked in around noon, looked at him, then said, “(Expletive), I was going to rob this place but I know you.”

The suspect then asked the clerk, who was likely confused, if he knew who he was. The clerk said he didn’t recognize the man, to which the suspect replied, “Good.”

At that point, the suspect simply turned and walked out the door, giving the clerk a thumbs-up on the way out.
