Houston cop goes off on open carry advocate: ‘You don’t know your rights as well as you think’ (VIDEO)

02/26/15 4:23 PM | by

A man known locally as “The Kilted Texan” was recently walking down a Houston street open carrying a rifle when he was stopped by a police officer. The video shows the exchange between the officer and the Texan, who refused to hand over an ID and repeatedly told the officer that he does “not consent to questioning.” The officer, irritated by the man’s behavior, told the man that he watches “too many YouTube videos” and he doesn’t know his rights as well as he think he does. The Kilted Texan was eventually sent on his way after being briefly detained.
