Duck Dynasty patriarch explains religious meaning through rape, murder plot (VIDEO)

The patriarch of the Duck Dynasty, Phil Robertson, spoke at aĀ Vero Beach Prayer Breakfast in FloridaĀ last week talking about the values of religion by detailing the fictitious rape and murder of an atheist family.

The conservative radio program TruNews broadcasted the event and the liberal website Right Wing Watch trolled the broadcast, pulling the absurdly exaggerated commentary.

From the Right Wing Watch report on Robertsonā€™s speech:

Iā€™ll make a bet with you: Two guys break into an atheistā€™s home. He has a little atheist wife and two little atheist daughters. Two guys break into his home and tie him up in a chair and gag him. And then they take his two daughters in front of him and rape both of them and then shoot them and they take his wife and then decapitate her head off in front of him. And then they can look at him and say, ā€˜Isnā€™t it great that I donā€™t have to worry about being judged? Isnā€™t it great that thereā€™s nothing wrong with this? Thereā€™s no right or wrong, now is it dude?

Then you take a sharp knife and take his manhood and hold it in front of him and say, ā€˜Wouldnā€™t it be something if this [sic] was something wrong with this? But youā€™re the one who says there is no God, thereā€™s no right, thereā€™s no wrong, so weā€™re just having fun. Weā€™re sick in the head, have a nice day.

If it happened to them they probably would say, ā€˜something about this just ainā€™t right.

Robertson has caughtĀ flak for other controversial statements. In 2013,Ā theĀ 67-year-old hunterĀ denounced homosexuality in an interview with GQ, likening ā€œhomosexual offendersā€ to bestiality and promiscuity, claiming being gay is ā€œjust not logical.ā€
