A memorial tree for Michael Brown was found cut in half and a stone memorial was missing less than 24 hours after being dedicated to the teen whose death sparked a national outcry over race relations and police procedure.

The tree was dedicated by the Black Caucus of the American Library Association on Saturday in Ferguson, Missouri, but was found vandalized on Sunday morning.

While police said they are investigating the vandalism, they do not yet have any suspects.
