Graphic video shows man pulling pistol on girlfriend in city park (VIDEO)

A dispute between a 24-year-old man and his old and new girlfriends ended with the man facing a slew of charges, including aggravated assault, aggravated battery and domestic violence charges, after he pulled a gun on the women and assaulted them both in an Albuquerque park Saturday.

The actions of Xavier Amaya were captured by a witness recording the incident on her cell phone. Amaya is seen yelling at one woman while he pointed a gun in her face, but as she reached upward to push the gun to the side, he shoved her to the ground. Moments later, the second woman confronted him, and Amaya had a similar reaction. At some point during the altercation, one of the women was pistol whipped by Amaya.

Despite the fact that one of the women refused to cooperate with police over fear of retaliation, Amaya was arrested the following day and bond was set at $50,000, but the conditions of his release include no contact with the women, no drugs or alcohol and no weapons.

However, after spending one day in jail, the charges were nearly dropped due to a technical error – the officer forgot to sign the criminal complaint. However, the judge opted to re-file the complaint so Amaya would not be set free until his bond was paid.
