Youtuber Royal Nonesuch took his DIY steel pipe shotgun and tried to see what John Moses Browning’s .50 caliber heavy machine gun round would look like if shot through it.

The .50 BMG (also known as 12.7x99mm NATO) has been the go-to round for heavy machine guns and extreme range rifles since before World War II. However, they need a good bit of blast off range down the barrel to get enough velocity to do that massive damage downrange…as Royal finds out.

Spoiler: You get to see a .50 cal bullet go slantways.

In case you missed it, don’t try this at home.
