Daniel Defense teasing upcoming .308/7.62 AR (VIDEO)

Daniel Defense is showing off highlights from its most recent round of testing the upcoming .308 Winchester/7.62 NATO semi-automatic rifle. The final testing phase included over 10,000 rounds of live fire.

“The only way to guarantee quality firearms is by doing it right the first time”, said Marty Daniel, president and chief executive officer of Daniel Defense. “We want to exceed our customer’s expectations and this means we are putting our new 7.62 through the same vigorous testing all of our rifles go through.”

The name of the rifle or platform and its release date have not been published. But according to Daniel Defense, the company is closing in on a launch soon when we’ll get the full details and specifications of the new rifle.

Daniel Defense is already one of the most trusted manufacturers of AR-15-style rifles and components chambered for a variety of cartridges including .223 Remington/5.56 NATO, 6.8 Remington SPC and 300 AAC Blackout. There is little reason to doubt their ability to deliver on the .308/7.62 front as well.
