Watch a 378 foot long warship get very wet for the first time (3 VIDEOS)

The USS Little Rock, a Freedom-class littoral combat ship took the ride of her young life when she was dropped into the into the Menominee River in Marinette, Wisconsin this last weekend.

The 378 foot long vessel, designed to fight in coastal areas and perform missions that range from waving the Stars and Stripes on diplomatic missions to riddling pirates full of 57mm shell holes, is the 9th LCS christened and the fifth of the Freedom-class.

The ship’s commissioning date is anticipated to be in 2016 and if you didn’t get enough of a splash out of the first video above, courtesy of her builders, here are two more shot from different angles.
