Police in Brooklyn tangled with a pistol-armed bandit last week and after the smoke cleared, arrested one suspect with a flesh wound.

Arrested was Jerrol Harris, 27, who last Friday allegedly botched an armed robbery that turned into a running gun battle through the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn. Harris was armed with a stolen .45 caliber Taurus Millennium which he fired at least six times at a half dozen officers who made it rain with 84 rounds in return.

Harris was apprehended after a single round pierced his calf.

“You have a running gun battle here. There are a lot of cops involved and it takes places in several different locations. It’s not as if everything was stationary,” said NYPD Deputy Commissioner Stephen Davis.

Harris reportedly is a felon with an extensive criminal history spanning over a decade to include robbery and drug arrests not only in New York but also in Louisiana.

He was able to hobble into his arraignment hearing Saturday.
