How much gun do you need to bring for a padlock? (VIDEO)

The DemolitionRanch team decided to break down the familiar movie trope of shooting off padlocks by doing some in-depth caliber testing.

Starting with a pile of boron steel padlocks mounted on a post about 15 yards away to keep those pesky ricochets away (don’t try this at home, kids) the Demo guys put a wallop on the locks with everything from .22s to 5.56 to one-ounce 12 gauge slugs.

Then they called in Mr. Barrett for a final opinion.

Ouch.
