Study finds Democrats have better grammar skills than Republicans

As it turns out, Republicans make more grammatical errors – at a rate of 2 to 1 – than their Democratic counterparts, according to a study recently conducted by the folks from the grammar-checking app Grammerly.

The study was compiled by analyzing a sampling of Facebook comments from April to August, taken from each presidential candidate’s official Facebook page. The results showed that Democrats, on average, used more words than Republicans, but made fewer mistakes.

Lincoln Chaffee led the race with supporters making the fewest number of mistakes, but Donald Trump’s supporters made the greatest number of grammatical errors, with an average of 12.6 mistakes per every 100 words.
