After 9 months, she doesn't care if her dad's in formation, she's hugging him! (VIDEO)

After nine months of being deployed in southwest Asia, 240 soldiers with the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division were welcomed home in Colorado Springs Tuesday. But while the soldiers were still standing in formation, one 2-year-old girl just could not wait another minute for her dad to come to her, so she went to him instead.

“She made eye contact with me in the crowd and decided she wanted to say hello a little early so she ran up and gave me a big hug and I just returned the hug back to her,” said Lt. Daniel Oglesby, who added that at that moment he was trying to decide whether he should break formation.

“I didn’t have the heart in me to not give my little baby a hug,” Oglesby said. “So I had to go ahead and bend over and give her a hug and kiss on the forehead.”

The emotional moment was captured by local media.
