Walmart's Israeli soldier costume causing outrage

Israeli soldier costume

While some parents may think Walmart’s “Israeli soldier for kids” costume is a deal at under $30, others are finding the ensemble offensive and insensitive.

The costume comes complete with a shirt, pants, belt and hat. The toy gun, complete with bright orange tip, is sold separately. Some have taken to the site to express their dissatisfaction with the giant chain’s choice of children’s costumes, but Walmart has thus far remained silent on the matter.

And just in case the child’s costume isn’t your forte, Walmart has also discounted a “sheikh Fagin nose” made of latex just in time for Halloween, as well as an “Arab Shiek” costume, both of which come in adult sizes.
