French special unit working dog killed in terror raid

This morning the French national police confirmed the death of a 7-year old Belgian Shepherd named Diesel as part of a raid on radical terrorists in Saint Denis.

The raid, part of a nation-wide crack down following Saturday’s brutal attack in Paris for which ISIS is claiming responsibility, ended with the arrest of eight suspects while two others were killed including an unidentified woman who apparently detonated explosives as police entered the apartment in the northern Paris suburb.

As reported by the BBC, five members of the elite RAID anti-terrorism unit were lightly injured while Diesel, who is described as an “assault dog”, was killed.
