Ruger on the new Ruger American 9mm and .45ACP pistols (VIDEOS)

With the debut of Ruger’s new American pistol last week, the company has dropped several in-depth videos on this hot new polymer-framed handgun.

The Ruger American, a $569 MSRP, 30.5-ounce, double-stack combat handgun goes about 500 percent more modern than their P95 of over a decade ago but shows some weight gain from their newer SR9/SR45 series guns. The neat thing about these 17-shot (10 in .45ACP) guns is they are very comparable to a FNS-9, Steyr M, S&W M&P and Glock 17/21 with some bonus features those polymer duty guns sometimes show up without.

Above we have a features video complete with footage of it being fired under extreme conditions (snow, etc.) while below is a field strip video to see those oh-so-sweet internals.
