Intruder gets shot in the ear
A 47-year-old man was shot in the ear while breaking into an Oak Ridge, Tennessee, home one early morning last week.
The homeowner apparently heard a commotion in the basement around midnight Jan. 15 and when he went to investigate, found Eddie Joe Kimblin breaking into his home. The homeowner said Kimblin then lunged at him in a threatening manner, so he shot Kimblin, striking him in the ear.
Kimblin was transported to the hospital where he received treatment for his injuries. He was then arrested and charged with aggravated burglary and public intoxication.
