While serving a warrant on a unrelated theft case at a home in Arlington Tuesday, officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety made quite a discovery: An underground grow room with about 100 marijuana plants.
The secret garden was located behind the 1,600-square foot home, partially covered by a wood deck which held several solar panels.
Once the room was discovered, firefighters were called to the scene to help ensure the underground space did not collapse during the investigation.
Residents Tri Vo, 31, and Jlicia Perry, 26, were arrested for cargo theft, while further charges are likely to come.
