NRA goes steampunk with 'World's First Automatic Handgun'

The National Rifle Association was on hand at the 2016 SHOT Show and brought some of its rare wares, including a steampunk firearm labeled the “World’s First Automatic Handgun.” The knob, switch and gauge-laden device sat in a glass display case in the NRA’s museum booth.

Here’s a description of the gun from NRA National Firearm Museum website:

Operating this steam-powered device involves donning the brass & leather gauntlet, complete with its gauges for trigger pull. Fitted with a telescopic sight, this innovative single-action handgun is based on a six-shot .44 Remington percussion revolver and even includes a forward monopod for firing stability.
