Johnny Cash

Johnny Cash will be immortalized in the city of Folsom, California, where he performed his controversial, yet iconic, concert at the famed prison almost 50 years ago.

The 40-foot-tall memorial, appropriately called “Man in Black” and created by famous artist Gary Tillery, features a design which will have the allusion of Cash being surrounded by a ring of fire at sunset.

The statue is one of several stops on the Johnny Cash Trail and is expected to be constructed by 2018.
