Authorities in Tulsa received a number of calls from concerned citizens Friday night who complained about a man reportedly pointing weapons at drivers.

When police arrived on the scene, they discovered Michael Carter, 36, was in possession of a plastic M16-style toy gun and what turned out to be a black plastic knife. Nonetheless, passersby believed the weapons to be real and feared they were going to be shot.

Carter, who placed the weapons on the ground as soon as officers arrived, was arrested on four counts of assault with a deadly weapon and is being held on a $100,000 bond.

Carter apparently told the officers he was carrying the weapons because he was jumped a few days prior.
