3 charged with armed robbery over winning lotto ticket

Three men are in custody following a robbery outside of a Louisville gas station earlier this month.

Zach Blakley, 19, was leaving the store on February 7, discussing his winning lottery ticket with someone on the phone when he was approached from behind.

“He grabbed me and he said, ‘where’s the ticket’ and as soon as I turned around he shot me,” Blakley recalled. “I told him he didn’t have to shoot me over the ticket. And I threw the ticket on the ground, and he grabbed it and ran off.”

The ticket was worth $1,000, which Blakley later collected.

This week, James Watts, 40, and Andrel Page, 21, turned themselves in to authorities, and the third suspect, Larry Felton, was also arrested. Page, who was charged with assault and robbery, is being held on a $10,000 cash bond. Watts was charged with facilitation to robbery and being held on a $50,000 cash bond. According to Det. Kevin Peak with the Louisville Police Department, Felton is believed to be the getaway driver.

Peak said Watts and Page surrendered to authorities after seeing themselves on the news.
