Owners of the Trijicon Miniature Rifle Optic have a new option for mounting. Scalarworks has introduced a new rail mount to its Low Drag Mount line, specialized for the MRO.

Made to fit MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail, the new LDM utilizes the same clamp as Scalarworks’ Aimpoint Micro mount. The company states the LDM’s telescoping clamp allows mounting with the same zero it was set to upon removal. Retail price is $149.

The LDM is made in the United States. It’s constructed of a single piece of 7075-T6 aluminum. The entire device, inclusive of hardware, weighs 1.17 ounces. Scalarworks says it’s the lightest quick-detach MRO mount on the market.

The device features Scalarworks’ proprietary “recoil-proof” notched thumb screw with a ball detent. Edges are designed to avert catching on gear or clothing as well as stay out of the way of knuckles.  Two heights are available—absolute and lower-third co-witness.
