Using a massive 602-grain high grade copper expandable projectile, Oath’s new TSR shotgun shells are advertised as mushrooming out to an impressive three inches.

The 2 3/4 inch, 12 gauge shell, available for preorder this week, uses an aerospace aluminum case to fire the 1.376-ounce copper Tango shotgun slug at speeds clocking 1200 fps.

Prior versions of the shell, which they have been working on for at least a year, used a full-length brass case and a straight walled projectile

Price is $30 for box of 5, which is a about twice as much as your typical copper solid slug, but then again your typical copper solid slug is a 1-ounce load inside a plastic sabot, so there’s that.
