Twice your average wheelgun: The Walch 12-shot .36 caliber Navy revolver (VIDEO)

Ian from Forgotten weapons profiles the very rare and super interesting Walch Navy, with it’s nipple-filled cylinder crammed with a full dozen chambers.

Using two triggers to drop two different hammers, the cylinder had six chambers split into two sections each with their own nipples, one arranged for each action, giving it a full 12 shots. This complicated design by John Walch, as noted by Ian, was used in the Civil War era in small numbers with just 200 of these guns manufactured.
