Heckler and Koch’s semi-auto send up of their classic MP5 sub gun still brings a delayed roller locked bolt and old-school diopter barrel sight– but doesn’t need a stamp.

The good news is, the SP5k is still made at the HK Oberndorf factory in Germany and comes with a STANAG 4694 Profile mounting rail.

Bad news is it’s $2,699 and if you add the optional folding buttstock you are still looking at the stamp. We caught one in the wild at the 145th National Rifle Association’s Annual Meeting and Exhibits in Louisville this week.
