XS Sights makes short-distance move for long-term growth

Sight, light, laser, and mount maker XS Sights announced this week that they’re moving to bigger digs just down the street in Fort Worth, Texas.

Growth in demand as well as expansion of the R&D division are driving the move.

XS Sights had been co-located with CNC machine parts maker and collaborator Horizon Tech, with whom they own their present location. The move from 2403 to 2401 Ludelle Street will keep the companies in close association, but allow XS Sights to expand on several levels.

The R&D department, headed by Bo Wallace, will enjoy greater space for product trials. Also anticipated are improvements to shipping department organization and function with access to a larger warehouse. Changes to overall operations and improvements to cross-department communications are in the works, too.

XS Sights co-owner Kellie Brunn said, “It’s been a busy last few months. In this strong year for the company, we’re well-positioned to grow and expand even more in the near future.”

The company’s primary products include a tritium dot system for handguns and long guns. The “big dot” sights are designed for rapid sight acquisition at defensive distances of less than 15 yards, especially in dim light conditions. They also make peep-and-post with tritium sight setups for a variety of rifles. There’s a line of sight installation and gunsmithing tools. A series of weapon-mounted light and glass breaker combos are made for law enforcement and military customers. Limited services are offered in the form of installation of sights by in-house gunsmiths on request.

Most products by XS Sights are CNC machined at their own facility. The company’s sights and sight bases are made of 1144 stress-proof steel and/or 6061 T6 aircraft grade aluminum.
