Boston kids spend the day with cops and K-9s

Boston K-9

Officers with the Boston Police Department recently showed a group of local kids what it takes to be a K-9 officer and the many jobs a K-9 unit can do.

The educational trip was held at the police department’s K-9 Unit base and training facility on Friday, May 27, 2016, and included students from Saint John Paul II Academy, who got to enjoy a pizza lunch with the officers.

Students learned a great deal about K-9s and were given a pop quiz by K-9 Officer Cornell Paterson. Those who passed the quiz were awarded a K-9 trading card. By the end of the day, all the kids had a card.
