Would-be bike thief lassoed by Oregon rancher on horseback
A man who tried to steal a bicycle outside of an Oregon Walmart Friday morning didn’t get too far after another man riding on a horse saw the theft in progress and stopped it in typical cowboy fashion – with a lasso.
The thief took the bike from the bike rack outside of the store, right in front of the owner, and while she, as well as several bystanders, tried to chase down the suspect, they were unsuccessful. However, when the horse-riding cowboy realized what was going down, he whipped out his rope and lassoed the thief, holding him until police arrived a short time later.
