Politician wants to “make America white again” (VIDEO)

A billboard near Benton, Tennessee, supporting a local politician’s campaign is causing a bit of controversy, but the candidate for Tennessee’s 3rd congressional district indicated that the sign, which reads “Make America White Again,” doesn’t mean what some people think it does.

“1960s, Ozzie and Harriet, Leave it to Beaver time when there were no break-ins, no violent crime, no mass immigration,” is what Rick Tyler said he’s aiming for and what the billboard refers to. But even after an almost 10-minute interview with reporters – complete with undertones of a supreme America and talk of demographics – Tyler’s message, which he said is not hate-filled, still wasn’t entirely clear.

Regardless, the billboard was taken down less than 12 hours after it was put up. Tyler, who paid for the advertisement through November, said he’s not the one who pulled it, but the owner didn’t confirm he was responsible for yanking it either.
