Charlotte police release video, pics of Scott shooting (VIDEO)

Following public outcry, authorities in Charlotte released dash cam and body cam footage from the deadly officer-involved shooting last week that sparked protests and riots in the city.

The videos show a portion of the encounter with Keith Lamont Scott, who was shot and killed by Charlotte police as they served a warrant for another individual.

Police maintain Scott was armed with a gun and refused to follow commands, which included demands to drop the gun, but Scott’s family claims he didn’t have a gun, didn’t own one and was simply killed in cold blood “for being black.”

Likewise, authorities also released photos of the gun carried by Scott, which some scoffers say was planted by the police after he was shot.
