According to a new survey released this week, government restrictions on firearms and ammunition rank near the top of the list of things that people are concerned about.

The Chapman University Survey of American Fears spoke with 1,500 adults about the things that scare us the most, asking them to rank 79 different concepts ranging from robots to high medical bills, to drones and terrorism.

They found out that the top thing that made people afraid, with 60 percent of the respondents corrupt government officials the highest concern. This was followed by terrorist attacks and not having enough money for the future.

Tied for fourth place with becoming a victim of terrorism with 38.5 percent of respondents was gun control.

The concern beat out the death of loved ones, economic collapse, identity theft, serious illness among loved ones and the Affordable Care Act.

Aliens and robots didn’t even make the top 10. Fear of zombies, however, did outrank being afraid of either strangers or clowns. No word about strange zombie clowns, though.
