Man busted on NY subway with stolen handgun, hollow points

A 30-year-old man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after he was found to be carrying a .380 loaded with hollow points on a New York subway.

Two plainclothes officers noticed Michael Chillious hop over the turnstile, but when they approached him, he unsuccessfully attempted to flee.

A search of Chillious’ person revealed he was illegally carrying handgun loaded with hollow point bullets. Further investigation revealed the handgun was stolen.

Chillious, who has two prior weapons charges, was arrested and charged with weapon possession, fare evasion and criminal possession of stolen property.
