Judge presiding over El Chapo’s case shot in the head outside of home (VIDEO)

WARNING: The following video contains images which some may find disturbing.

Vicente Bermudez Zacarias, the judge who presided over the case of Mexican drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, was shot point blank in the head while jogging outside of his home in Metepec, Mexico, Monday.

The execution-style shooting was captured on a chilling video.

Zacarias, 37, is seen jogging as a man runs up behind him, shoots him a single time in the head, then turns and runs away. The entire encounter lasted just a few seconds and Zacarias literally never saw the man coming.

Zacarias was rushed to a local hospital, but died.

According to local media, Zacarias, who presided over several cases involving drug lords, was not given any type of protection.

No one is in custody at this time, but the shooting remains under investigation.
