Arby’s to roll out venison sandwiches in 6 states

Arby's venison sandwich

Fans of deer meat who don’t exactly want to get their hands dirty may have an alternate option to tromping through the woods, taking down a deer, butchering it and preparing a meal. In fact, it may be as easy as going through the drive-thru.

From October 31 to November 28, select Arby’s restaurants in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Georgia will have venison on their menu.

“We’re a brand that’s not afraid to take risks, and while the venison sandwich is probably the biggest stretch for us yet, it’s incredibly delicious and we can’t wait to get it in the hands of our guests,” Arby’s chief marketing officer Rob Lynch said in a statement. “You won’t leave a hunt empty-handed after stopping by Arby’s.”

The chain will offer a thick-cut venison steak sandwich on a roll with crispy onions. Lynch said, although admittedly an unusual item, the sandwich is “incredibly delicious.”
