Security cameras catch burglar just feet from sleeping children (VIDEO)

A chilling video released by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office shows a brazen home invasion over the weekend with the intruders just feet from two sleeping kids.

Police received a call about the break-in, which they believe occurred around 1:30 a.m., Saturday night. The intruders rummaged through the home as they looked for loot, with the two kids sound asleep, completely unaware that the strangers – one armed with a gun – were lurking so close to them.

The sheriff’s office described the suspect as a black male in his early 20s. He appears to be about 5’10” to 6’0″ tall and was seen wearing a light colored shirt with stripes, fingerless gloves, light colored pants. He has black hair and slight facial hair.

A second suspect, who waited outside of the home with a .38 that was stolen from a vehicle at the residence, was described as a white male wearing a light colored beanie cap, a dark jacket and light colored pants.

Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to contact Agent Maria Fernez of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office West Precinct General Crimes Unit at 321-633-7162, or CRIMELINE at 1-800- 423-TIPS (8477).
