Just a handheld Tesla Coil gun here (VIDEO)

Nikola Tesla was one of the most underrated polymaths in modern history and the lightning sparking coil that bears his name is great. So why not make a gun from one?

Destin from SmarterEveryDay got bit by the Tesla Coil bug and, after breaking his hobby version, visits a guy who made a giant coil that uses re-purposed MRI capacitors who just happened to also have a “handheld” coil gun with a water-cooled backpack that looks like something out of Ghostbusters.

And its pretty magical when they run the hi-speed on it.
