A whopping 690 firearms were turned in during a gun buyback event over the weekend in San Jose.

Participants received Target gift cards – and cold, hard cash once the gift cards ran out – in exchange for unwanted guns.

Amongst the slew of weapons turned in were a sawed off shotgun, a brand new, still in the box Remington 870, and a palm-sized, antique Spanish single shot, one of the smallest handguns ever collected during a buyback in San Jose or Santa Clarita County.
