Body cam footage released of officer responding to active-shooter call (VIDEO)

The Bountiful Police Department released body cam footage of an officer who apprehended a 15-year-old boy who brought two guns to a junior high school outside of Salt Lake City earlier this month.

The officer entered the school less than two minutes after the call came in concerning an active shooter, but by the time he arrived, the teen’s parents had already disarmed and detained the boy. The parents said they went to the school looking for their son after they realized two guns were missing from their home.

The teen was charged in court last week and faces three felonies and two misdemeanors.
