Gun-packing grandma turns tables on armed intruder (VIDEO)

A 74-year-old woman fought back against an armed intruder who broke into her Bowie County, Texas, home Sunday night.

Authorities are still searching for the suspect, who they believe was wounded in the encounter, and say the situation could have ended much worse for either the suspect or the victim.

Rebbie Roberson said she was just sitting down to watch TV when the stranger, who was wearing gloves and a mask, was in her face with a gun.

“I didn’t know if he was going to kill me or what,” she said after the frightening encounter.

But Roberson had a .38 on a table nearby and wasn’t about to go down without a fight. She said she got up from her chair, walked right in front of the intruder, grabbed her gun and started firing as he ran out of the house.

Roberson left her walls riddled with bullet holes but said she tried her best to hit him.

“I tried to kill him,” Roberson told reporters. “Anybody break in on me, I’m going to kill them. He’s going to kill me or I’m going to kill him.”

Authorities said they believe the suspect was wounded but have not yet located him.
