Gun shop robbers scared off by good Samaritans (VIDEO)

An attempted smash and grab at an Albuquerque gun store Wednesday morning was foiled by a couple of people at a nearby business who scared the robbers away.

The good Samaritans said they saw the suspects ram their SUV into the front of ABQ Guns, but when the suspects got out of the vehicle to make their way into the shop, the bystanders yelled at them, scaring them away.

Although the suspects didn’t make off with any merchandise, they did cause a lot of damage.

Arnie Gallegos, owner of the gun shop, said smash and grabs of these types are becoming increasingly common. He called the trend “disturbing.”
