Marie Tillman, widow of fallen war hero Pat Tillman, has expressed dismay over President Trump’s executive order banning entry into the U.S. for citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries.

In a recent Facebook posting, Tillman said that she was “deeply saddened by the news of the executive order banning immigration.”

“This is not the country he dreamed of, not what he served for and not what he died for,” she said, speaking of her husband’s vision for this country

Pat Tillman played for the Arizona Cardinals for four seasons. In 2001, he left the NFL to enlist in the army and was killed by friendly fire in Afghanistan in 2004.

Marie Tillman now keeps his name alive through the Pat Tillman Foundation, which gives scholarships to military service members and their families.
